View of the city

It’s well-known, Moscow stands on seven hills, so there are lots of observation platforms. We chose four places that are the most interesting and give the tourist the opportunity to admire the megacity.

1. The Moscow-City observation platform. Recently opened for tourists, the observation deck of the "Federation" complex is a journey into fantastic future. Tourists climb with high-speed elevator to a height of almost 240 meters in just 7 seconds and find themselves in a large room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a panoramic view of the highest skyscrapers in Europe. The view is simply fascinating!

Observation platform Moscow City

You can see the buildings of the Academy of Sciences, the Moscow State University, the main temple of the country - Christ the Savior, the Kudrinka skyscraper, Ostankino TV tower and many other Moscow sights. We advise you to visit this place at the end of the day - during the sunset, when the city lights up with thousands of lights, it becomes clear what a real metropolis is! Address: Presnenskaya nab., 12.

2. Ostankino TV Tower. This is the highest observation platform of the capital: the height of the whole tower is 540 meters, and you can climb up to 340 meters. You are allowed to go there only within a tour, but this is for the best: tourists will be told about the history of the construction, will be guided through the museum of television and radio broadcasting. And the final spot is the exit to the observation platform, where a panorama of the whole city can be viewed in telescopes with 40x zoom.

The nearest attractions to the TV tower are the Ostankino manor and the telecentre building with a facade painted in color-coded screens of the screen setting screen. The glass floor and a low fence, where the wind whistles, add extreme. Address: Academician Korolev st, 15, building. 2.

3. Patriarchal Bridge. From this bridge you can see the history of the city. The Cathedral of Christ the Savior is in the north. If you stand with your back to it, you can see the Kremlin, the Great Stone Bridge and the Quay House, built in 1931 according to Stalin's plan for the party elite. On the right side - the best view of the arrow of the Marsh Island. More than a century it was a confectionery factory "Red October", and now - the main cultural cluster of the capital.

From the bridge is perfectly visible the highest monument of Russia and the most odious monument of the city - the statue of Peter I. And the most touching detail of the panorama is the domes of the tiny old church of St. Nicholas on Bersenevka, hidden in the shadow of a giant Stalin's house. Address: between Prechistenskaya and Bersenevskaya embankments.

4. The Big Moskvoretsky bridge. The streets of the Varvarka and Vasilyevsky Descent meet at the bridge, and one of the most beautiful and ancient parts of the city - Zamoskvorechye - is located on the opposite shore. Through it, in the old days, Russian troops marched to the Golden Horde, the memory of this was preserved in the names of the Bolshaya and Malaya Ordynka streets. Right behind the bridge is a short street Baltschug - one of the oldest in the capital; there Tsar Ivan the Terrible opened the first inn, and now on this place the prestigious “Baltschug Kempinski” Hotel is situated.
